Registration
The clubleader will get program book, starting number and control cards for each competitor, as well as tickets for ordered camp sites or dormitory (bring your sleeping bag and mat), respectively, and a parking sticker.
Please register on Thursday, July 24, or Friday, July 25, at the Event Center at the Gwatt-Zentrum freeway A6 exit Thun-Süd, see map. On Saturday, July 26, registration is only possible at Stage 1 (from 7.00).
Transport by bus

Competitors and their families are kindly invited to the opening ceremony on City Hall Square in the middle of the Old Town of Thun.

Meals
in the tent or in the Gwatt Center's own restaurant. Meal vouchers can be purchased at the information desk and at the reception of the Gwatt Center, if possible before departure to stages for dinner and in the evening for next day's breakfast.

Control net with paper "flags". Ca.1.5 km from the Event Center. Easily accessible on foot.
Map Heimberg Ost
3 suggestions of ca. 3, 6 and 9 Lkm, with regular controls. Ca. 10 km from the Event Center, Parking Restaurant Schnittweiherbad, Steffisburg. Snacks and drinks at the restaurant. Accessible by bus (STI/AVH).
Ask at the information in the Event Center, maps for CHF 3.-
Competition Center
At the Competition Centers of each stage, there will be an information desk, the finish, registration for the open categories, OK and OL, kids-O, medical support, food, child care, toilets, stands, result lists, space for spectators and club tents, O-shops.
Control Description
General control descriptions for each stage are included in the program book.
No Spikes: In Switzerland, spikes or dobb-spike shoes are prohibited.
Start
Pursuit Start Stage 6
For runners less than 120 minutes behind the leader after 5 stages, there will be a pursuit start at the final stage. The others will start at intervals of 1 min.
Maps
Ban areas
Please do not enter. Banned areas on the maps are partly marked in the terrain. Violations will entail disqualification, as well as the leaving of compulsory courses.
Overall Ranking
3 separate rankings: 3 days of Thun, 3 days Fribourg, 6 days of Switzerland. The running times of the respective stages will be simply added. No result will be dropped.
Open Categories OK/Open short and OL/Open long, single/groups.
Registration until 11.00 at the Competition Center (near information desk). Fee: CHF 12.- for 1977 and older, CHF 8.- for 1978 and younger. Additional map CHF 4.-. Open Categories: separate start/finish.
Kids-O
9.30-14.00. For children (1987 and younger) at the Competition Center. Direct Registration.
Child Care
Child care services are offered at all stages near the Competition Center from 8.30-15.30. Please register at the information desk at the Event- or Competition Center until 18.00 the day before. Please pick up your children as soon as possible.
Transportation
There is a free shuttle for inscribed competitors from the Event Center to the stages both in Thun and in Fribourg. Your control card is your ticket, or show a copy of this directions (Stage 1 only).
Accompanying persons buy a ticket (CHF 5.-) at the information desk. Children under 6 years ride for free.
All runners accomodated at the Event Center Gwatt must use the free bus transport. Runners with the starting times mentioned below have priority until 3 minutes before departure. After that, runners with later starting times may be allowed on the bus if there is extra space.

It is possible to get on or off the shuttle at Thun main station, ca. 6 minutes later (STI-Bus stop Nr. 22, opposite main building)
Return Trip
as needed, every 20-30 minutes. Last departure 16.20.

A6, Exit Thun-Nord, direction Schallenberg, marked from Steffisburg, center of village.
Parking
Parking at the stages is exclusively for competitors not accomodated at the Gwatt-Zentrum.

Terrain
Flat, mossy terrain with a dense net of drainage ditches. Partly swampy and with dense wetland vegetation - ferns and mosses - on the ground. Attention: road crossings!

Dormitory
At 1 km from the Event Center. Smoking and cooking in the dormitory are prohibited.
Parking
Close to the camping area for runners accomodated at the camping. Otherwise only limited parking. Parking on the Route des Neigles is prohibited.
Meals
Additional meal vouchers can be purchased at the information desk in the evening for next day's breakfast and in the morning for dinner. In the evening, snacks and warm and cold drinks will be served in the tent where there is a bar as well.

1:10'000, control net fixed with numbered wooden poles. On the west side of Fribourg direction Payerne, bus TF no. 2 MONCOR-Les Biches/Les Dailles, departure from the station, busstop Jumbo.
Map Rohrholz-Seeligraben
1:10'000, control net with competition controls. Alterswil, 13 km from the Event Center, easy to reach by bus (GFM).
By Bus
Bustransport only for runners who have signed up before. Timetables are posted at the Event Center
By Car
marked from the freeway exit Fribourg-Nord (A12) for stages 4-6.
