Individual |
"Zytglogge tower"
First western gate of the city (1191-1256). It ranks among the most important objects of interest
in Berne. The clock includes moving figurines, an astronomical clock and an hour chime
(from the year 1530). |

Cathedral (15th C./Late Gothic)
Largest Swiss Sacral. Construction began in 1421 and continued over generations. The tower was
completed only in 1893. Climbing the 100 meter tower is possible with a rewarding view of the
snowy mountains of the Bernese Alps |

Bear Pits
Bern and bears are inseparably connected. Still today the bears in the Bärengraben and the bear
in the Bernese Coat of Arms are reminds of the legend of the city founder Berchtold V., who killed
the first animal - a bear. |

Swiss Alpine Museum
(5 min. from the Old Town) This modern museum is the only one in Switzerland which offers an
overview and an introduction to the cultural and natural highlights of the entire Swiss
mountain area. |
