General directives

Competition centers
Located at the competition centers are: the finish, the information desk, the registration for the kids-O, the registration for the open classes, the first aid, the restaurant, the child care, the toilets, the showers (where available), sales stands, result lists, room for spectators and tents and shops with orienteering merchandise.

Competition rules
The competition rules according to the "Wettkampfordnung" (WO) of the Swiss Orienteering Federation (SOLV) are applicable.

Classification mode
The result list of each stage is established, as usual, according to the corresponding running times.
For the overall result of the Swiss O Week the results of the stages are transformed into a score value according to the following formula:

Score = Winning time * 1000/actual running time.

Runners not classified will get a score of 0.

For the overall result list starting at stage 2 the worst result out of all performances will not count.
If the results of a stage have to be voided or in the case where a stage cannot be held, the result of that stage will not taken into account at all. In other words, only the best four out of five possible results will count for the overall result in such a case. The overall result is composed of the five best scores from stages 1 through 6. For the participants of the 3-day event the scores from all three days will count.

Coupe CREDIT SUISSE
In the classes DE, HE, D20 and H20 the winner is determined by the knockout-tournament style of the Credit-Suisse Cup. Please see page "CS Cup" for details.
