OL WM 2003 with strong media partners

The four-leafed clover is complete: four strong media partners support the scenery at the OL WM 2003. The organizers were able to sign agreements with the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, the private radio station “Zürisee”, the “Zürichsee” newspaper and the Swedish Internet Radio.

SRG SSR as the country's public broadcasting station takes over the role of the host broadcaster. The Swiss television will produce daily a 15-minute summary from all four finals and will offer it internationally. In addition, editorial contributions are intended on a daily basis during the regularly featured programs of the TV station SF DRS. The exact production planning will be announced later.

To support and accompany the 20th World Orienteering Championships in the extended region of the venue around Rapperswil/Jona, the two strongest local media could be won. Radio “Zürisee” will actively start already before the title games as well as during the real WOC week with previews and service columns.

In the domain of the print media the “Zürichsee” newspaper will extensively report on the highlights. The “Zürichsee” newspaper is the print medium with the highest circulation in the region and as such will also support the organizing committee to inform the population about the event. The goal is to address the sports enthusiasts as spectators through these two channels and to motivate them for a visit to the finish arenas. The unique opportunity is offered to be present while Swiss top runners will carry out the racing sport of orienteering on a world-class level, and to cheerfully support them in the battle for the medals.

Over the Internet the speaker of the four WOC arenas will be heard. This audio transmission can be received on all the usual computer platforms (Windows, Macintosh, Linux/UNIX). The streaming is made possible by the official Streaming partner of the OL WM 2003, Internetradio Communications AB from Sweden.
