> OL WM 2003 > WM Bulletin WM BulletinInformation procedure at IOF Major Events like the OL WM 2003 in SwitzerlandInformation from the World Orienteering Championships organiser to the public (IOF member federations, teams, runners, media) shall be given in the form of so called bulletins. Prior to World Championships a series of bulletins has to be distributed. Bulletin 1 shall be distributed about two years before the event and it shall include preliminary information like address and telephone/fax number for information, the event venue, dates and types of the competitions, opportunities for training and embargoed areas. >Bulletin 1 Bulletin 2 is basically the official invitation - therefore including official entry and accommodation forms - and it is distributed one year before the event. It shall extend the information contained in the first Bulletin with information about entry fee for competitors and team officials, types and cost of accommodation and food, dates for reservation of official accommodation, description of any transport offered, de-scription of terrain, climate and any hazards, event programme with winning time and approximate length of each course. >Bulletin 2 About two months before the event Bulletin 3 is issued. It contains detailed information about the event, like latest date for sending the names of participants, detailed programme of the event, including timetable for final name entries and for the allocation of start groups, summary of entries received, address and telephone/fax number of the competition office, transport schedule, the length, total climb, number of controls and number of refreshment controls on each individual course and, for relays, on each leg and team officials' meetings. > Bulletin 3 Upon arrival of the teams at the event Bulletin 4 gives additional detailed event information. > Bulletin 4 is available.
